Workers Compensation Insurance covers outpatient physical therapy & rehabilitation expenses for injuries or accidents sustained in an occupational setting. Most injured workers have the right to direct access to physical therapy, with provisional need of a PCP or medical doctor referral for 100% coverage of initial 12 to 24 physical therapy visits. REMEMBER: YOU DO HAVE CHOICE OF PROVIDER IN PHYSICAL THERAPY – and we recommend our practice as a best starting place.
If seeking treatment for an on-the-job injury, please be sure to bring:
- Insurance company name and claim number
- Claims adjuster’s name and phone number
- If applicable, the name, phone number and address of your attorney
*If you have not opened a work injury or L&I claim and have sustained an on the job injury, we would be glad to assist you in facilitating the necessary steps in working with a medical provider.
